1. Are you familiar with how Zillow works?
Zillow takes all of the deed recordings in a geography and averages them. Foreclosures, auctions, and quitclaims are also removed. As a result your “sanitized” Zestimate represents a wider value range.

2. Have you “claimed” your house on Zillow? If not…
If not, Zillow’s data tends to be outdated and incomplete.

3. Has Zillow been inside your house?
Most reasonable people will understand that in order to accurately value a property, it should be visited and examined—inside and out.

4. Is Zillow going to put in an offer?
Twin Cities broker Teresa Boardman put it bluntly: “Zillow isn’t going to buy your house, now, are they?”

5. Does it matter what Zillow thinks… or buyers think?
All that matters is the offer received from a buyer. Buyers are often emotional which results in a higher sale.
