South of France Home Rental!
A French-American family would love to share their 200-year-old house in the South of France with you. Located between the Roman cities of Nîmes and Montpellier, this charming home has 5 bedrooms (2 of which form a suite) and 2 full bathrooms, including a Moroccan fantasy room. All the rooms are large, light and airy with authentic provençial furnishings and linens.
There are exposed stone walls, terracotta tiles and the large living room has a piano and a separate staircase to the Master suite making the house perfect for 2 groups or families. The dining room seats ten and the provençal kitchen is eat-in. The spacious garden has a cuisine d’été, barbeque and a dinning table under the vines. There is an entertainment center and a small office space adjacent to the Master suite. TV, DVD, CD and full kitchen, with washer/dryer and dishwasher.
Located in a small historic village surrounded by vineyards, the house is a 2 minute walk to village shops, including the boulangerie, fromagerie, boucherie and small convenience store. The large supermarket is a 3 minute drive. There is a small tourist office and movie theatre in town, as well as 2 public swimming pools and tennis courts. Wineries are everywhere.
The Mediterranean beaches of La Grande Motte or Le Grau du Roi are only a 20-minute drive from the house. The natural Camargue has horseback riding (10 minute drive) and the breathtaking Cevènnes mountains are 40 minute drive.

Visitors love the traditional provençal furnishings and our location. Visit many of Provence’s most interesting sites within 20-40 mins: Avignon, Uzès, the Pont du Gard (truly wonderful to swim in the river looking up at the 2000-year-old Roman bridge), Aix-en-Provence, Arles, Beaucaire, Tarascon, St. Rémy or the ancient hilltop castle of Les Baux. Languedoc: Montpellier is a vibrant university city with many museums and archeological sites, Nîmes has the Roman coliseum and temple. Thursday nights in summer.
OTHER INTERESTING DAY TRIPS
Charming Pézenas (home to Molière) has over 50 antique shops and is popular with buyers from all over the world. The Cathar castle of Carcassone (of Da Vinci Code fame) is 2 hour drive, Toulouse is 3 hours. The ancient Greek port of Marseilles is 1-1⁄2 hour drive. Catalan culture in Narbonne or Perpignan has a Spanish influenceonly a 2-1⁄2 hour drive to the Spanish border.
